Acting CEO of Urban Taskforce, Stephen Fenn, today welcomed the announcement by NSW Planning Minister, Paul Scully MP, that $200 million would be made available to eligible councils which speed up their development assessment timeframes or maintain acceptable turnaround times.
Urban Taskforce has been calling for this type of incentive funding program to reward councils that do the right thing and roll up their sleeves to get through housing development applications in a timely manner.
