Urban Taskforce Australia welcomes the rezoning, and the predicted 9,350 new homes (including 535 new affordable homes) within walking distance of the station.
This significant uptick in dwellings will deliver substantial windfall rate revenue for the Hornsby and The Hills Councils, helping them to deliver and maintain infrastructure and services to a growing population.
Accordingly, Urban Taskforce does not support the proposed s.7.12 contributions plan levy of 4% to fund infrastructure.
