Urban Taskforce CEO, Tom Forrest said that today’s announcement of a new future for Wentworth Park is a timely and necessary improvement to reinvigorate an important part of inner-city Sydney.
The transformation of the surrounding park, the grandstand and the dog track into a 14ha precinct for community sporting activities, public green space and community festivals will widen the use of this space by locals and support thousands of new homes.
It will add to the improvements represented by the Sydney Fish Market redevelopment and a future metro station at Pyrmont to make Wentworth Park an attractive prospect for future residents.
