Urban Taskforce Australia CEO, Tom Forrest, today, praised Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the Commonwealth Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, Catherine King, regarding their announcement, that Western Sydney will receive a massive $2 Billion investment into critical Western Sydney roads and transport in next week’s federal budget.
14 new projects have been named along with additional funding for two existing projects. This is exactly what is needed at this time.
This investment will provide a much-needed boost to jobs and housing supply for Western Sydney. It is recognition that the new airport, by itself, is not enough to build a city.
