Tom Forrest, CEO of the Urban Taskforce, said that today’s annualised ABS housing approvals data is the worst result for 10 years, both NSW and for Australia, on every metric.
– The lowest number of multi-unit dwellings (apartments and town houses) in NSW and across Australia for 10 years.
– The worst performance in terms of approvals of free-standing houses, both in NSW and Australia, for 10 years.
– The worst results in terms of total dwelling approvals, both in NSW and across Australia, in the last 10 years.
– While the monthly data goes up and down, the data over the last 12 months reflects a drastic decline.
