Sydney to Parramatta Liveability Corridor

Sydney to Parramatta Liveability Corridor

The Parramatta Road corridor is one of the most degraded areas in Sydney. The Urban Taskforce is championing a new approach to renew the corridor. A number of our members have exciting proposals for their own sites along Parramatta Road and we have incorporated these into an issue of Urban Ideas and developed an overall  concept for 100,000 new apartments and 100,000 new jobs within a new mixed use zoning approach we have called a liveability corridor. We are suggesting that an urban renewal authority should drive outcomes rather than relying on 9 separate councils.

The special issue of Urban Ideas will be launched and distributed at a breakfast forum on Thursday 14th June.

Special Host:  Quentin Dempster –

ABC broadcaster, journalist and presenter of Stateline
