‘Stinks more than bins’: Anger mounts over Fish Markets redevelopment

Planned high-rise towers at Blackwattle Bay have attracted widespread opposition from councillors, community groups and local rowers as Sydney lord mayor Clover Moore demands an extension to the “impossibly short timeframe” for public submissions.

The redevelopment proposal for the old Sydney Fish Market, which will move to a new building on the bay, was unveiled earlier this month and labelled a “disgrace” by Labor councillor Linda Scott.
