Urban Taskforce Australia (hereafter Urban Taskforce) supports this much needed reform to the NSW planning system and welcomes the bipartisan approach taken by the Minns Government to achieving lasting and desperately needed change. We very much welcome the proposed changes to the objectives of the Act. We welcome the focus on removing red tape and ensuring that, at every stage of the application, assessment and decision-making process (including the conditions to apply) the explicit reference to a proportionate response.
