The latest figures on housing approvals and housing completions are positive news for NSW, says the Urban Taskforce.
The figures from the NSW December monitor of Sydneys housing supply show significant improvements over recent performance, says Urban Taskforce CEO, Chris Johnson. There seems to be a developing confidence in the housing market in Sydney.
What this means is lower house prices through more supply and also lower rents for tenants in Sydney.
While the housing approval and housing completion figures are a positive move for NSW, the state is still a long way behind other states and the focus on making the NSW planning system simpler is still critical to continue the process of increasing supply.
