Urban Taskforce CEO, Tom Forrest, today welcomed the NSW Government’s apparent commitment through the accidently leaked announcement to establish 8 “Transport Oriented Development” precincts which will see rezoning and clear the way for a solid contribution towards the housing supply needed to address NSW’s housing supply crisis.
While no doubt annoying for the Premier and Planning Minister to have the announcement leak in this way, the news is good for housing supply.
If confirmed, this represents a big downpayment on the Premier’s repeated commitments to delivering more housing close to public transport.
