Media Release: What has happened to HAFF funding? 50,000 applications – waiting
Urban Taskforce Australia CEO, Tom Forrest, today said the extended delays over a decision on successful applications for funding for affordable and social housing through the Housing Australia Future Fund (the HAFF) are threatening the viability and success of the scheme.
Applications for funding under “Round One” of the Housing Australia Future Fund Facility (HAFFF) and National Housing Accord Facility (NHAF) were closed in March 2024.
The Commonwealth advised at the time of the close of applications that the decision for funding Round 1applications would be made in July 2024.
We are now in September, and we are still waiting.
