The NSW Government has extended membership of the Bays Precinct Taskforce to include the City of Sydney and Leichhardt Councils. The Government media release is here.
The Director-General of the NSW Department of Planning and Infrastructure has refused a proposed $10 million commercial marina complex at Kendall Bay, Breakfast Point. The Governments media release is here.
Campbelltown City Council has a draft “section 94A” development contributions plan on exhibition until 24 June 2011. If made, the plan will apply to the entire local government area and require a contribution of up to 1 percent of development costs. The plan is available from here.

Stockland has secured the right to progressively acquire 339 hectares of land in south west Sydney. The East Leppington site is expected to deliver approximately 3,000 new homes and is located 1.5 kilometres from the proposed Leppington railway station and 14 kilometres from Liverpool CBD. The NSW Department of Planning and Infrastructure has placed two new proposed voluntary planning agreements on exhibition. The Thrumster Urban Release Area in the local government area of Port Macquarie-Hastings involves a 109 residential lot subdivision of land. The Planning Agreement provides that the owner will provide a contribution towards regional infrastructure of $2,047 per residential lot. The Meadows VPA relates to a 124 residential lot subdivision in the Hills Plain in the local government area of Tamworth Regional Council. The Planning Agreement provides that the owner will provide a contribution towards regional infrastructure of $1,000 per residential lot. The planning agreements can be accessed from here.

The Northern Joint Regional Planning Panel has approved two separate development proposals to subdivide the Cobaki Estate, Piggabeen Road, Cobaki Lake for residential use. The JRPP media release is here and the JRPP reports may be accessed from here.
Willoughby and Lane Cove Councils have joined forces to down zone the area behind Mowbray Rd, Lane Cove North, south of Mowbray Road, near Batten reserve, from R4 “high density” to a mix of zones – E4 “Environmental Living” and part R3 “medium density housing”. Both councils are of the view that high density residential is not appropriate across the entire zone due to traffic, environmental and bushfire constraints.
Wingecarribee Shire Council is exhibiting a planning proposal to “correct” certain zoning and notation “errors” in their local environmental plan. Exhibition documentation is here.
