The NSW Minister for Planning, Tony Kelly, published the Albury Local Environmental Plan 2010 on 13 August 2010. The Plan and accompanying maps may be accessed from here.
The City of Newcastle is exhibiting a draft voluntary planning agreement for a Landcom residential development at 288 Minmi Road, Fletcher. Development consent was issued for the subdivision of this site into 700 Torrens title lots. The consent requires a provision of a monetary contribution of approximately $6.4 million towards facilities including open space, recreation facilities, community facilities and traffic management. The draft planning agreement will be on public exhibition until 7 September 2010. Further information can be accessed from here.
The City of Sydney is considering yet another urban design study that recommends a reduction in floor space ratio and building height. An urban design study for the Epsom Park Precinct prepared for Council proposes to reduce the overall FSR for the Precinct from 2.5:1 to 2:1 and in some cases to as low as 1.5:1. We understand that the Council proposes to use the findings of this study to “inform” the comprehensive LEP for Sydney. We will be expressing our concerns.
