Lasping of development consents – update

13 May 2010

In the member alerts of the 22 April and 29 April 2010 we informed you about the legislation currently before the NSW Parliament to extend the life of development consents.

Yesterday the legislative proposal passed through the lower house of the NSW Parliament with Opposition support. This means it will almost certainly become law in the very near future.
As a matter of process, the legislation must be debated in the state’s upper house before it can become law.

The record of the lower house parliamentary debate is available here.
