I write in response to the interim report on housing supply regulation that was released in July by the Productivity Commission.
Urban Taskforce Australia welcomes the findings of the Productivity Commission, as outlined in the interim report, and strongly supports the four stated principles of best practice for the regulatory system:
1. Adopt a ‘build’ mindset
2. Only regulate where necessary
3. Coordinate with infrastructure
4. Keep the process simple.
