I write in response to the discussion paper that was circulated on a targeted consultation basis by the NSW Building Commission exploring issues that might need to be addressed as part of a new dispute resolution system.
Urban Taskforce Australia strongly supports the introduction of dispute resolution practices to deal with building defects and is willing to contribute to the current consultation. We welcome the Parliament’s decision to have the regulatory framework developed prior to the end of this year and the work undertaken by the Building Commission to facilitate this.
