I write in relation to Woollahra Council’s draft affordable housing policy, which is currently on public exhibition.
Urban Taskforce Australia has concerns about the impact of affordable housing policies on the feasibility of housing projects, particularly at a time when the industry is facing significant challenges.
While we acknowledge that there is a need for affordable housing to help to address rental stress for segments of our community, how it is achieved could have a detrimental impact on the delivery of market housing and the ongoing housing supply crisis.
