Todays announcement by the NSW Government that it will cut infrastructures charges by up to $64,000 per lot will create jobs, encourage investment and improve housing affordability across NSW, according to the Urban Taskforce.
This move will lower house prices and make it easier for families to buy their own home, Mr Gadiel said.
It will generate building activity, creating jobs and economic benefits that will flow through to the whole economy.
NSW has always been reliant on property development to pull it out of economic slowdowns.
These cuts will go a long way to kick-starting the housing industry in NSW and getting housing construction moving, Mr Gadiel said.
Mr Gadiel said the move today to cut levies would attract developers back to NSW.
These cuts, along with the recently announced reforms to the planning system, will help make NSW a better place to invest.
The Urban Taskforce is a property development industry group, representing Australias most prominent property developers and equity financiers.
