This morning Urban Taskforce Members were treated to an insightful Market Update hosted by Savills.
Angus Moore, REA Economist, provided an informative overview of current trends in Australia’s housing market.
Drawing from his experience at institutions including the Reserve Bank of Australia and the Commonwealth Treasury, Angus shared valuable perspectives on market dynamics including: an overview of the current state of the economy; housing prices; construction approval rates; insight into the Australian rental market, state by state; and predictions on what we can expect through 2025.
The presentation also included a panel session with Angus, Chris Orr Director of Residential at Savills and Sandra Peachy, National Head, Residential Development Valuations at Savills. This session was led by Urban Taskforce CEO, Tom Forrest.
The discussion shed light on the challenges and opportunities in the residential apartment sector, offering a comprehensive view of the industry’s current state.
