On Wednesday 14 May, a full house of Urban Taskforce members was hosted for a morning tea at KPMG’s HQ in Barangaroo, where Nicola Lemon, KPMG’s National Social and Affordable Housing Lead, presented on Making Affordable Housing work for the Private Sector.
Drawing from her vast experience in the Community Housing sector, Nicola’s presentation identified planning pathways for developing social and affordable housing. Insights were drawn as to how the private sector could partner with Community Housing Providers, navigate Federal, State and Local government planning rules, opportunities for taxation support and rental assistance for tenants.
