Today’s online platform The Urban Developer cited big changes for Sydney’s future as the “Three Cities” planning vision was officially scrapped by the Minns Government, replaced by a new draft Sydney Plan that prioritises housing, jobs and infrastructure.
Urban Taskforce CEO Tom Forrest said, “[the Three Cities framework was] no more than a strategic planner’s wish-list – a fanciful handbrake on Sydney’s growth,” with the old plan described as “way out of date and … holding NSW back.”
