Tom Forrest, CEO of Urban Taskforce, was quoted on 702 ABC Sydney on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, following the release of the NSW Budget.
The bulletin reported Urban Taskforce Australia’s criticism that the Budget does little to tackle the state’s housing supply crisis, with Tom noting that while the Government has funded tolls relief, roads and schools, it has largely failed to provide any new incentives for new housing supply.
Tom said Urban Taskforce’s “only hope” is that the Government has made a strategic decision to address housing supply initiatives outside the Budget process – perhaps in the context of the coming election.
