Sydney Morning Herald –
Workers are dismantling Ryde’s civic centre in Sydney’s north-west after the Berejiklian government lifted a stop-work order that was triggered by developers and threatened to prevent its demolition on heritage grounds.
The developer lobby group Urban Taskforce last week launched a last-ditch bid to stop the civic centre from being razed to make way for the City of Ryde’s $110 million redevelopment known as The New Heart of Ryde.
