Urban Taskforce CEO Tom Forrest said the property industry was in mourning today with the passing of Bob Rose.
Mr Rose, through his company Rose Group, was a leader in the NSW property sector and became the benchmark for quality remediation of contaminated industrial sites along the Parramatta River for the purpose of developing new lifestyle communities.
His developments included:
- Cape Cabarita – a 7.5 hectare waterfront site (formerly a pharmaceuticals facility) which required remediation
- Breakfast Point – the 52 hectare AGL site at Mortlake which was transformed into a thriving community developed jointly by the Rose Group and Cbus Superannuation fund
- The development of 550 new homes at the Catherine Hill Bay mine site, south of Newcastle
