Acting CEO of Urban Taskforce, Stephen Fenn, today welcomed the announcement by the NSW Opposition to transform Long Bay Correctional Centre at Malabar into a 12,000-home precinct.
The Opposition has backed the Minns Government’s Woollahra station proposal and now raised the stakes with a plan for Long Bay.
It’s a logical move – Sydney’s south-east has employment, education and health infrastructure, along with high amenity, to back in this proposal.
When the Rosehill racecourse proposal fell over, Urban Taskforce said that Sydney just didn’t need a “Plan B”, but Plans B,C,D through to X,Y and Z.
