CEO of the Urban Taskforce, Tom Forrest today said the Minns Government’s Homes for NSW Strategy 2025-35 was a step in the right direction, looking to address chronic undersupply of social housing through partnerships with the private sector and Community Housing Providers.

NSW Housing Minister, Rose Jackson MLC, is to be congratulated for recognising that the private sector needs to play a key role in delivering the 8,400 social homes and 1,200 affordable homes by 2031.

By recognising that the public sector cannot reach its goals alone opens up opportunity for collaboration and most importantly on the ground results.
