The Hills Shire Council Draft Local Environmental Plan 2010 is on public exhibition until Friday 13 May 2011. The Draft LEP 2010 applies to the whole of the shire, with the exception of land in the North Kellyville Growth Centre. The exhibition documents are available from here.
The winning architectural design for the redevelopment of a key city centre site in Parramatta has been announced. Tony Caro Architecture has won the design competition for a proposed mixed-use residential development on the former David Jones site at 330 Church Street. Meriton Apartments is the developer of this $111 million redevelopment of the site that will include two separate residential towers of 34 and 22 storeys, a public square and stepped terraces down to the Parramatta River’s edge. Rockdale City Council has completed the exhibition of their draft local environmental plan and will soon forward the Council adopted draft to the NSW Department of Planning and Infrastructure requesting for the plan to be made.
