Lismore City Council has placed its comprehensive local environmental plan on exhibition. Council will receive comments until 29 July. The Department of Planning says that “the new Local Environmental Plan proposes extra land for housing, industry, retail and business development”. The draft plan and supporting documentation can be accessed from here.

Wollongong Council has placed a section 94 plan for West Dapto on exhibition. Comments will be received until 11 June 2010. Council says that this plan is needed to fund $756 million of infrastructure to support expected population growth in this area. If made, this plan will require a contribution of $622,000 per hectare of residential land. This equates to approximately $41,500 per residential lot. A levy of around $43,400 per hectare will be charged for employment land. More information can be obtained from here.
