Labor inherits dismal housing supply outlook for Sydney and state – The Sydney Morning Herald, 28 March 2023

Tom Forrest, chief executive of developer lobby group Urban Taskforce and a former senior Labor staffer, said the past three years of under-supply would take at least three years to turn around.

 

“No matter what they do they’ve got a problem ahead,” he said. A seven-point plan he authored before the election called on the incoming government to introduce a temporary height bonus to address the immediate crisis, and root-and-branch reforms to liberalise the planning system.
