The Daily Telegraph’s Lachlan Leeming today commented on the lack of progress the Federal Government’s Housing Future Fund (HAFF) has seen over the past 18 months.
Back in 2021, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese projected 30,000 new social homes would be built via the HAFF in it’s first five years…1.5 years in, funding has been agreed for just 800 homes.
Despite the Labor Government’s stalling, this is not the time to pump the breaks!
Urban Taskforce CEO, Tom Forrest stated, “We’ve now got to the point where there are a large number of contracts about to be signed…this is not the time to stop progress”
