Tom Forrest, CEO of the Urban Taskforce, said that today’s annualised ABS housing approvals showed a collapse in already weak apartment approvals – with only 1,079 apartment approvals issued in the month of September 2024.
Coming off a poor set of numbers in August, the September approvals data was even worse – with overall housing approvals slipping under 3,000.
