The winner of Urban Taskforce Australia’s Highly Commended Community Facility Award is Blacktown Exercise Sports and Technology (BEST) Hub by Blacktown City Council.
Chair of the DEA Judging Panel, Chris Johnson AM made the following comments about the project:
“The jury supported the innovation demonstrated by Blacktown Council in undertaking this project. The site began as an Olympic facility for baseball and softball and has now been dramatically reimagined to a health and well being centre. The architecture by ARM Architecture is bold and exciting.”
