Annual Dinner and Development Excellence Awards
The Annual Dinner and Development Excellence Awards were held on Thursday 20 July 2017 at Doltone House, Pyrmont. The awards night was graced by VIP guest The Hon. Anthony Roberts MP, Minister for Planning.
The Development of the Year 2017 winner is BARANGAROO SOUTH by Lendlease.
The Urban Taskforces awards acknowledge development projects that achieve the best outcomes in terms of client requirements, environment, business and community considerations; as well as time, cost and quality. These awards recognise the crucial role of the developer in making a new development an outstanding success.

BARANGAROO SOUTH
Developer: Lendlease
Barangaroo South accommodates 23,000 office workers, 1,500 residents, an international 6-star hotel and more than 80 cafes, bars, restaurants and retailers and aims to be Australia’s first large scale Carbon Neutral precinct.

WOOLWORTHS CROWS NEST
Developer: Woolworths Ltd
This scheme comprises of woolworths supermarket, cafes, restaurants and specialty stores and 286 space public parking. Falcon Alexander Street, Crows Nest, cnr Falcon Street. The key to the success was to pool Council owned land with land owned by Woolworths.

EY CENTRE, 200 GEORGE STREET
Developer: Mirvac
Located at 200 George Street, 37 story building employs a world first timber and glass closed cavity façade system. The first fully lit LED building in Australia. Mirvac recycled approx 90% of construction material from site

CLEMTON PARK VILLAGE
Developer: Frasers Property Group
Medium density mixed-use development, comprising residential, retail and recreation, community facilities, aged care and child care. 11 residential apartment buildings will deliver 747 apartments.

100 HARRIS STREET, PYRMONT
Developer: Citi-100
Located in Pyrmont, 100 Harris Street is an original wool store building with ornate mass brick facades and robust hardwood timber internal construction. Built in the 1980’s and added to in the 1910’s and 1920’s this building represents Sydney’s successful pastoral period when Australia was dependent on wool for its wealth.
