Construction restarted in Sydney on July 31 after two weeks of lockdown. We know the shutdown of the industry is truly damaging for the economy, and devastating for thousands of construction workers. While the reopening, which contributes about 10 per cent to the economy, is good news for those who’ve suffered, it’s tough on the rest of us. Construction is now open seven days a week. No rest. No respite.
