Urban Taskforce Australia CEO Tom Forrest has given the Albanese Government’s first budget a big tick of approval when it comes to actions to start addressing the crisis engulfing housing supply in Australia.
The Federal Treasurer, Jim Chalmers, this evening announced a raft of welcomed measures that, in cooperation with the States and private investors, could deliver more than one million homes deliver more housing. For the first time in living memory the Commonwealth has acknowledged the housing supply crisis and is taking real action, with funding, to address it.
