Urban Taskforce Australia CEO Tom Forrest has warned that blanket changes to capital gains risk reducing housing supply by discouraging investment in new homes.
The CGT concessions for new housing investors should be lifted, offset by a reduction in CGT concessions for the purchasers of existing housing stock.
