This morning, Urban Taskforce members attended an insightful session with David Gainsford, Deputy Secretary of Development Assessment and Sustainability at the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
David shared a comprehensive overview of the Housing Delivery Authority’s (HDA) new streamlined pathways for State Significant Developments (SSD) in New South Wales.
The discussion underscored the Minns Government’s push to accelerate housing approvals, with David and his team playing a key role in assessing high-value, high-yield housing projects across the state.
For anyone involved in housing development, understanding the detail of this new pathway is critical.
Sessions like this are vital for industry-government collaboration and for tackling the housing supply challenges facing NSW.
A big thank you to Allens for hosting us, and in particular to Felicity Rourke, Partner at Allens, for her support in making the event possible.
