3 PUBLIC TRANSPORT CONNECTIONS TO PARRAMATTA (Heavy rail western line, proposed Metro West, Light Rail stage one and two) The first stage of the Parramatta Light Rail will go to Westmead by crossing the Parramatta River at the North Parramatta redevelopment site. From the centre of Parramatta the light rail will head north to Carlingford. The second stage will go through Camillia and onto the northern side of the Parramatta River and head east to Melrose Park before crossing the river and linking with Sydney Olympic Park. The current heavy rail Western Line has stations at Auburn, Granville and Westmead that all link to Parramatta.
