Executive Committee


The Executive Committee is elected by the members and oversees corporate policy, governance and financial management of the Urban Taskforce Australia.

The Executive Committee includes some of Australia’s leading property developers.

Noel Hemmings QC
Chairman

As a former Judge of the New South Wales Land and Environment Court, Noel brings special expertise to his role as legal adviser and advocate in environment, planning, land valuation, compensation and administrative law disputes and litigation.

 

As a judge, Noel had considerable influence on the development of the law in respect of land and environment protection in NSW. Noel regularly acts for the Australian, NSW and Northern Territory Governments, as well as a wide range of private and public companies.

 

Noel shares his long-term experience with students and junior lawyers through his role as a part-time lecturer at the University of Sydney; University of NSW; University of Technology, Sydney; and the College of Law. He has presented numerous papers at international conferences in locations including Oxford, Washington DC, Auckland, London, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo.

He is a past president of the Environmental Law Association of NSW.

David Tanevski is a founding Director of the Urban Taskforce. As Managing Director of equity financier KWC Capital Partners, David is actively involved in all aspects of property development and structured finance.

KWC Capital Partners has over $3 billion worth of property development projects currently under advise. David has considerable experience in all stages of property development including financing, strategic planning, PPP’s and fund management.

Steering Committee


The Steering Committee focuses on public policy issues. The Steering Committee includes a mix of property developers and key experts in the areas of urban planning, law, construction and finance.
