John Kinsella AM, Billbergia Gala dinner celebrates 2024 Urban Taskforce Property Person of the Year The Urban Taskforce CEO, Tom Forrest said last night that the property sector had come together to celebrate the massive contribution to the property and construction sector of John Kinsella AM, Managing Director and founder of Billbergia.
In this, the Urban Taskforce’s 25th year as the peak industry representative in the property development sector, John Kinsella is a worthy winner. He has added to his long-term
philanthropic support for HOPE for Cambodian Children with his massive personal and organizational support for this function where all proceeds are dedicated the Warrah Society for those suffering from profound intellectual disability and the St Vincent’s Prostate Cancer Research Centre. The Urban Taskforce Property Person of the Year is a very special award which recognises an industry leader who has been nominated and supported by property construction and development sector peers.
John has always been a humble man and was keen for the Property Person of the Year Award to be shared with his family, brother Bill and son Joseph, along with Rick Graf and the entire executive team at Billbergia. John Kinsella and the Billbergia team have been recognised by a packed house of over 400 of his industry peers at the Four Seasons Hotel ballroom event which raised over $100,000 for the charities to share.
The function was masterfully hosted by comedian Rob Shehadie who rounded a great night of celebration at a time where things have been tough in the property sector – though the mood was certainly that things are looking up. NSW Minster Steve Kamper was the guest of honour and spoke of his longstanding work with John in his philanthropic endeavors as well as his own work to identify surplus government land for the purpose of developing affordable and social housing through Housing NSW, Landcom
and beyond.
John’s care for the work of the charities shone through as he both led and inspired pledges of support for both our charities.
