At the Annual Dinner and Awards night of the Urban Taskforce in Sydney on 10th August 2005, The Hon. Eric Roozendaal MLC presented the Urban Taskforce’s Development Excellence Award 2005 to Walsh Bay Partnership (Mirvac & Transfield Joint Venture) for Walsh Bay Redevelopment.

	Walsh Bay Redevelopment Walsh Bay Partnership (Mirvac & Transfield Joint Venture)
	One of the largest urban renewal projects in Australia involving the refurbishment and development of 17 hectares of waterfront wharves and ancillary buildings into a mix of residential, commercial offices, cultural facilities, retail, restaurants, parking, refurbished parks and foreshore areas.

Winner Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards 2005 for Residential Development
	Quadrant off Broadway Australand
	The Quadrant Off Broadway is a model mixed-use development on a transport corridor, as envisaged by the NSW Government’s Metropolitan Strategy. The project is mixed use with 234 residential apartments, 63 student apartments with 150 beds, and 100,000m2 of commercial space in the refurbished Wilcox Mofflin and Broadway Picture Theatre buildings, as well as retail.

Commendation Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards 2005 for Residential Development
	The Lanes at Kirkham Crownland Development and Marsim
	The Lanes comprises a 55 half acre rural/residential subdivision and associated community facilities, which include tennis court, club house, swimming pool and 21 acres of private community open space. The Lanes is located at Kirkham, five minutes drive from the historic township of Camden located 45 minutes drive via the M5 from Sydney.

Commendation Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards 2005 for Residential Development
	St Margaret’s at Surry Hills Rommark Corporation and Overland Developments
	The former St Margaret’s hospital sits on a 7585m2 site in Sydney’s Surry Hills. SJB and PTW Architects, in conjunction with Zone Developments have retained and adaptively reused the site’s two heritage structures, and built three new buildings around a generous, sunny public space which has activated the site and reintroduced St Margaret’s back into the Surry Hills residential neighborhood.

Winner Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards 2005 for Commercial Development
	Ernst & Young Building at World Square Multiplex
	The Ernst & Young centre is a $450 million high-rise office development in the Sydney CBD. It is 56 storeys in total – 46 storeys above ground level with a two-storey retail podium. It rises to a height of 230m and comprises 62,250 m2 of net lettable area.

Winner Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards 2005 for Industrial Development
	Lidcombe Business Park Macquarie Goodman Management Limited
	This 11.30 hectare Industrial Estate was developed over five stages from 1999 to 2004. It represents a major urban renewal project retaining employment generating land use within an existing residential suburb.
